The Town of Estes Park and the Estes Park Economic Development Corporation (Estes Park EDC) are creating an economic development strategy for the Estes Valley.  The purpose of the strategic plan is to set the course for generating long-term economic prosperity in Estes Park and our surrounding region.

We need your candid input to ensure that the resulting strategy reflects the needs and vision of our entire community.  Everyone with an interest in our region's future is invited to participate, including part-time residents or commuters.  Please encourage your friends, family, and colleagues to participate!

This survey will take approximately 10 minutes to complete.  Please fill out the survey even if you have participated in an interview or focus group with the consulting team.

Welcome Parents & Students

The faculty and staff of Estes Park School District R-3 welcome you and your family to the Estes Valley.  There are approximately 1159 students, in grades Pre-kindergarten through 12 attending our schools and about 152 professional and para-professional staff members.  We are dedicated to helping your child achieve his/her highest academic, physical, and social potential.  The mission of our district, as determined through our school improvement process, is to prepare all students to excel as citizens in a diverse and technological society.  Our end results for students are:

Estes Park R-3 students will acquire the knowledge and skills to be responsible citizens.

Estes Park R-3 students will develop and demonstrate proficiency in:
Essential skills – listening, speaking, reading, writing, and mathematics
Essential content – science; social studies; world cultures and languages; literature; physical and health education; financial, environmental, and information literacy; and the arts.

Estes Park R-3 students will develop and demonstrate their abilities in:
Critical thinking, reasoning, logic, and innovation
Ethical principles such as integrity, empathy, and respect
Self-motivation, resourcefulness, and creativity
Real-world application of knowledge and skills
Leadership and teamwork skills
Civic duty and stewardship
Personal decision-making and goal setting

Estes Park R-3 students will explore and participate in:
Careers and technical trades, internships, post-secondary options, exchange programs, activities/athletics, and community service. 

Estes Park School District R-3 follows the Colorado Department of Education curriculum standards for the CORE subjects as well as art, music, and physical education.  Special Education, English as a Second Language, gifted education, and Foreign Language are examples of additional curricular programs offered at Estes Park School District.  In addition, there are numerous sports, clubs, and other activities that are available to students.
